Episode 86: End of School Year Stress: 5 Tips to Calm the Chaos
Are you about to pull your hair out with the end of school year chaos? It's a crazy time of the year for special education teachers.
Your end of the year will only be as good as you allow it to be.
We are having to wrap up paperwork and report on progress. We are finishing up testing, communicating with parents and planning for Extended School Year. But it’s very important to take intentional steps and make a concerted effort to keep your kids engaged and having fun during this typically unstructured time of year because if your students aren’t interested in what’s going on, you are going to have some behavior problems and see some discipline issues that you'd rather not have to experience.
On today's episode of the Sped Prep Academy Podcast I chat about things you can do with your students to calm the chaos of the end of a school year so that you and your students can end the year on a more peaceful note and finish strong. I know right now it’s hard to keep students engaged in their learning and wanting to participate in their education.
