Episode #74: Tips to Running a Resource Room

We have a special guest on the show today and she’s so special, I actually recorded her episode not once…but twice! 😂

Amanda Wilp and I talked one evening for over an hour and it was just the best conversation because we have so much in common and chatting with her came easy and natural…but once we were done we realized I had not pressed record. I was so mad at myself but Amanda was gracious and kind and offered to record it again with me the very next evening. What a trooper she is!

"For years I spent time 'Frankensteining' interventions"

Amanda is an elementary special education resource teacher known in the Blogging and TPT and world as The Primary Gal and has an active Facebook Group called The Resource Room to give special education teachers ideas, support, and inspiration.

Amanda loves working as a resource room teacher. It is truly her passion and what she loves to share with others. While working in this role, she saw a need for interventions that were quick and effective, but she didn’t want to sacrifice her students’ progress. So she created her own!

She now shares her routines and interventions with other special education teachers to help save them time and see results in their students too!

Amanda has shared a free week of Interventions and you can get that HERE

Listen in as we chat about Tips to Running a Resource Room! (I know that’s why we got along so well is because we were speaking each other’s language!)

  • Curriculum used for a variety of levels
  • The importance of daily routines and procedures are still important
  • The components that are a must-have within a resource room
