Episode #68: 4 Ways to Set Your Paraprofessionals Up for Success in the New Year (Or Anytime!)

HaPPy NeW YeAR!!

This is the first episode of 2022 and I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling good. I’m feeling like I had a very restful break as far as being a teacher goes and now I’m ready to jump into this new year of teaching with the motivation and the initiative I need to finish out yet another school year strong....and I want the same for YOU!

What might you be doing that makes you look like a hypocrite?

I want you to come back from your time off recharged and refreshed and ready to make some intentional decisions that will improve the relationships and team culture with your staff.

So on today’s episode, I want to share with you 4 quick ways to set your staff up for success during this new year as well.  

  1. Get to know them better including their strengths and weaknesses    
  2. Communicate your expectations
  3. Provide individualized training using their strengths and weaknesses
  4. Expect mistakes


By putting these 4 things into action immediately, you will begin building a stronger, more cohesive team for you and your staff. 

But let's not stop there...listen in to hear WHY these things are important and HOW you should make them happen and WHAT you might be doing that makes you look like a hypocrite.
