Ep #13: Special Education Teacher Responsibilities: Part 1- To the Students

Today we’re going to talk about our responsibilities to our students. Although every day presents new challenges and new duties for a special education teacher, the responsibilities we hold toward our students can be broken down into 3 main areas...

1. Assessment    2. Planning    3.Instruction

These 3 areas are a cyclical process meaning...you do one, then the next, then the next and then you start all over again. You assess, you plan, you instruct, you assess, you plan you instruct...over and over again.

As special educators  we serve as an advocate for the child and it is our professional responsibility to work to the best of our ability in that capacity and Assessment, instructional planning, and teaching are all primary duties of that position.

This episode of the Sped Prep Academy Podcast, I explain how to easily implement these 3 areas to best serve our students.
